How selling works

Listing is free. You agree the price with the buyer and arrange the sale yourself.

What placing an advert involves

  1. Sign in. You need an account to place an advert. If you don't have one, you can create it on the way.
  2. Add at least 3 photos. The first is the one buyers see in search, and you can change which one that is.
  3. Choose what it is: car transporter trailer, box trailer, horse trailer, motorbike trailer, utility or camping trailer, tipper trailer, catering trailer, boat or jet ski trailer, livestock trailer, plant trailer, flatbed trailer or trailer tent. The form then asks only for the details that kind of trailer has.
  4. Give the make, model and condition. The year is optional. The name of your advert is made from these.
  5. Set the price and describe it. The price is in whole pounds, from £30. The description needs at least 30 characters: its history, what's been done to it, what's included and anything that needs work.
  6. Add the details you know. Gross weight, unladen weight, bed size, axles and brakes are all optional. Leave out anything you're not sure of.
  7. Say where it is. Give the town a buyer would come to. A postcode is optional and is not shown on the advert.
  8. Publish. After that you can edit the advert, mark it as sold or remove it from Your adverts.

Place an advert

Once the advert is live

  • Buyers message you through the site. Their messages and your replies are kept in your account.
  • You arrange the viewing and the sale. The site does not take payment or hold money for either side.
  • An advert can have up to 25 photos. You can add or remove them, and change the price or the description, from Your adverts.
  • Mark it as sold when it goes. Buyers then see that it has sold. You can also remove the advert, which takes it off the site.
