Who sees it
Anyone can see your adverts: the trailer's details, photos, description, price and town. Your postcode, name and email address are not shown on an advert.
These providers handle data for us:
- Cloudflare, which carries traffic to the site and serves its images.
- Postmark, which sends our emails.
- postcodes.io, which turns the postcode on an advert into an approximate location. We send it the postcode only.
- The company that hosts our servers and database.
- Google Analytics, only if it is switched on for this site and you accept analytics cookies.
We share data with the police or other authorities when the law requires it.
Some of these providers may handle data outside the UK.
How long we keep it
We keep your data while your account is open. When you close it, your adverts and messages are removed 30 days later.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your data, to restrict or object to how we use it, or to receive it in a form you can take elsewhere. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time. Using your data rights explains how.
You can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We'd like the chance to put it right first, so please email us too.
Do you have to give us your data
You need an email address and password to open an account, and the trailer's details to advertise it. Without them we can't give you an account or publish the advert. You can browse adverts without an account.
